Liyoung MartinA cappella producer & mix engineer
I turn raw vocal tracks into clear, powerful, release-ready a cappella records.
Selected work
Years spent directing, arranging, recording, and mixing collegiate a cappella means I understand both the music and the session behind it.

For groups recording from anywhere
Your group records locally while I help plan the setup, direct the session live, and keep every take technically consistent.
Starting prices cover songs up to 5 minutes with up to 30 reasonably organized source tracks. Pricing is based on track count--not singer count. Larger or unusually complex sessions are quoted individually.
The process
No vague handoffs. You’ll know what I need, what happens next, and where your project stands.
Send the arrangement, a reference, your timeline, and a quick overview of the session.
I’ll confirm file delivery and flag anything that should be fixed before production begins.
Editing, tuning, vocal percussion, mixing, and mastering happen according to your package.
You review the production, request included revisions, and receive final WAV and MP3 files.

About Liyoung
I’m a Music Technology–trained producer, arranger, and audio engineer specializing in collegiate a cappella.
As Music Director, producer, and arranger for the University of Illinois Xtension Chords from 2022–2026, I learned how to make a performance work from both sides of the glass. I bring that musical perspective into every edit, mix decision, and revision.
Alongside a cappella, my experience spans studio recording, live engineering, podcast production, and independent music creation across jazz, electronic, and funk.
Good to know
Still unsure which package fits? Send a short project overview and I’ll point you in the right direction.
Ask a questionYes. Editing, mixing, mastering, and recording guidance can all be handled remotely.
Dry WAV files exported from the same start point and clearly labeled by voice part, singer, and take are ideal. I’ll provide a delivery checklist before the project begins.
Each separate audio file or lane delivered for production counts as one source track. The number of singers alone does not determine the price.
Complete Production includes two revision rounds. The revision scope for standalone services is confirmed in your project quote.
